Hellenic-Turkish Cooperation on the Strengthening of Protection and Management of Wetland-resources (International Conventions and the EC Directive 2000/60)

The project concerns transfer of institutional know-how and respective capacity building in Turkey, in the field of protection and management of watercourses -and especially of wetlands, on the basis of international conventions and EC policy and law. Its aim is to enhance the current institutional and legal regime concerning watercourses and wetlands in Turkey and to exchange relevant information. The project has been developed by co-initiative and is carried out with the administrative support of the Goulandris Natural History Museum-Greek Biotope/Wetland Centre (EKBY). It is financed by the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the framework of the Hellenic Development Cooperation (HELLENIC AID).
